Description Bruce Jeffrey 2008-05-23 20:25:16 UTC
I've used random mix on ealier slimserver versions for almost 2 years with great success. After upgrading to squeezecenter 7.0, 7.01 & now 7.1 random mix stops after an irregular number of songs. Only log entry is as follows:-

[08-05-23 23:24:15.8685] Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::PrefSync::_syncDown_error (354) Sync Down failed: No such player: 00:04:20:07:33:be, will retry in 13560

1. I am only running one squeezebox (SB3)
2. This problem does not occur if I play entire genre's

Also of note: Once the eleventh track is played the display continuously reads

Now Playing (11 of 21) ie the 11 and 21 do not increment.

This behaviour can be configured from the RandomMix web page:there's an option to remove tracks from the playlist once they have been played.

Hi Michael

The track count does not increment beyond 11.

Cheers

Did you change the configuration? You can tell it to remove played tracks, when adding new ones. Thus it will always display the same numbers.

QA to investigate and generate logs

Bruce: I have not been able to reproduce this error with 7.2. Can you please try with this verion of SC?
