KDF: does this mean you have checked in a fix for this issue? If so, mark as fixed.
Comment 3 KDF 2008-06-03 13:36:59 UTC
no, just means the revision I was seeing it with.
Comment 4 Ben Klaas 2008-06-04 14:02:36 UTC
Definitely mine to fix
Comment 5 KDF 2008-06-04 14:23:10 UTC
actually, I think this is a problem with $client->string. I saw this with another player when switching servers. $client->string doesn't see to pass the second arg so the replacement isn't working.

In the case of this bug, line 768 of Control/Jive, in playerSettingsMenu
Comment 6 Ben Klaas 2008-06-04 14:26:34 UTC
thanks KDF, I'll take a look.

I recently noticed this behavior at home, but it was limited to players that had a character outside the range of A-Za-z.

e.g., I see

Living Room Information
for the player called Living Room

but
%s information for a player called "!Moob"

Comment 7 KDF 2008-06-04 14:34:42 UTC
ok, I'm a goof. found it and solved at change 20452. it was a player class, and not 7.1 after all (unless the controller was caching the query, as I do switch versions a lot lately). marking as employees only, because I'm shy ;)
Comment 8 Ben Klaas 2008-06-04 14:39:30 UTC
what, !Moob wasn't obscure enough??

thx for the fix...been meaning to look at this one for a while now
Comment 9 Ben Klaas 2008-09-02 12:48:47 UTC
looks like a bunch of fixed 7.2 bugs were erroneously changed to target milestone of '---'. Changing them back, as they should appear in searches as to where they were fixed.
Comment 10 James Richardson 2008-10-10 12:40:57 UTC
Verified fixed in

SqueezeCenter 7.2.1-23472
Controller 7.2 r3070
Comment 11 James Richardson 2008-12-15 12:33:55 UTC
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
