SC 7.0 does not show a notification that a newer version is available in web UI.

update.slimdevices.com or something needs to be updated

When will the notification alert go live?  Where should the notification appear in the new skin?

It's been live for a few hours, http://update.slimdevices.com/update/?version=7.0

Try restarting SC.

I've tried restarting SC, re-installing on a fresh image, there is still no notification.

I was a bit mistaken about how this works.  It only checks for updates once a day.  In order to test this, you can delete the checkVersionLastTime value from your prefs file.

I don't mean to be difficult but this still doesn't work. I tried deleting the checkVersionLastTime value, I tried waiting a day, I've tried IE6 and firefox, theres no notification. James, Dan, have either of you had a chance to look into this? Am I crazy?

I also have not had 7.0 prompt me to upgrade to 7.0.1, you are not crazy

Also make sure checkVersion is enabled.

Just FYI... when I got home last night and checked my 7.0 server (about 8:30pm) the notification showed up.

When I got into work this morning and checked my 7.0 server the notification was NOT visible.  But I followed Andy's instructions, edited the prefs file, restarted the server and the notification appeared.

Works on Anoops Mac, does not work in my virtual XP image.

This bug has now been fixed in the 7.1 release version of SqueezeCenter!  Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com if you haven't already.  

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.

This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!
