Don't know if this is properly a bug or an RFE.

But my transporter goes silent much too often. It comes back to life after a xilix reset, but that's a painful process.

If you could do a xilix reset from the front panel, it would probably be acceptable, but it doesn't. You have to power down the Transporter. For me, this means crawling around behind my stack of amps, preamps, DVD players, etc. to unplug it. Then I have to plug it in and run to the front to press 1 on the remote.

It seems to go down (no audio, but VU meters show action) with nearly every power glitch. Which is about every two weeks.

Pat, assuming this is with firmware 40, did you also experience this behavior with lower firmwares?

Sean & Felix, does this sound familiar to either of you?

Yes Firmware: 40

I've been on the beta distro for so long that I can't say when I moved to 40, or when I was using others.

I can say that I don't remember this much when I first got the Transporter, what 18 months ago or so? But I can't say if the power company was being better back then.

BTW: No need to actually unplug it, just press and hold the power button until it reboots and when the logo scrolls into view, press 1.

Sean thinks this is fixed in 42 (7.1 beta, at the moment)
