It would be nice if Boom and Squeezebox remotes (IR, Controller, and Web) could be used to control devices supplying audio through the Boom's Aux input. For instance, an "IR Blaster" IR transmitter dongle could be used to send IR commands to such devices as MP3 player docks (like Apple's iPod dock) and external radio tuners.

I understand that the initial Boom will not support this. I don't know if that's a hardware or software limitation, but I think the Boom would be a more appealing product if it offered an IR Out option.
