Description Ross Levine 2008-04-30 15:22:20 UTC
Changing /usr/share/squeezecenter/Firmware/squeezebox2.version to point to older firmware doesn't seem to work, same for receiver.version. I make changes as I do in Windows, /etc/init.d/squeezecenter restart, server restarts, players don't request update. When I hold brightness for the SB2 it updates but doesn't load the firmware I specified in the .version file.

I'm doing this with Transporter all of the time (on Linux). Does the server really restart?
Comment 2 Ross Levine 2008-05-01 11:17:09 UTC
Yes it really restarts the players are disconnected. I've also tried stopping and waiting then starting again to make sure.

I've never noticed a problem with this. Can you get a log with player.firmware?

I'm no longer able to reproduce this. I'll re-open if I see it again. Must have been something on my end, thanks.
