Description Ben Lowery 2005-01-23 19:20:03 UTC
Steps to repro:
1) Install 5.4.1 of SlimServer
2) Start up slimp3, making sure you're using the smaller text size
2) Enable RSS Feed plugin
3) Specify RSS Feed plugin as screensaver for slimp3
4) Wait for screensaver to kick in
5) Hit the "size" button on the remote to change to the large text size
6) Wait for scolling to start, slim.exe or slimsvc.exe will crash
7) Susequent restarts of slim.exe or slimsvc.exe via the Services control panel
will result in instant crash:
Perl interpreter failed at /PerlApp/Slim/Display/Display.pm line 73.

I've verified that large text works (and scrolls) for the plain RSS feed reader
with both large and small text. Everything also works with the RSS screensaver
and small text. The bug only manifests itself with large text and the RSS
screensaver.

A reinstall of the slimserver software clears the problem. I have not found
another way to clear the problem. Once it occurs, all susequent restarts of
slim.exe or slimsvc.exe fail.

Thanks for any help!

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
