Description Hendrik van Antwerpen 2008-04-26 03:17:21 UTC
Jive lists could have alternating row colors. This gives more feedback on scrolling actions. Although album cover and title usually give this feedback, I run into trouble with larger disksets, no cover image and the first part of the disk names is the same. It then is not clear how my scrolling is going.

Noah: What do you think?

In my experience, you need to have square edges to make this look right. Currently, with our rounded, friendly, aesthetic this would begin to look cluttered. In addition, we would have to revisit our color scheme to add contrast for the selection menu item [3 total colors].

I think this is something to keep in our back pocket for future releases on screens where text only is dominate.

Thoughts?

Sounds reasonable. Keep this in mind as we update for SqueezePlay and Controller in 7.2.

hm, just read this:

I don't think we need this on our narrow columns, but I understand that some kind of feedback is needed to indicate scrolling feedback. Keep thinking...

I'm not sure we have a good solution here. Let's propose something concrete, then schedule.

Moving to won't fix. Until we have larger displays that require easier hort. sight lines this is not applicable.
