Bugzilla – Bug 798
Web Interface Playlist
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:55:40 UTC
"THE CURRENT PLAYLIST: SAVE | DOWNLOAD | CLEAR" Can these links be moved above the 'now-playing' title and fixed in position within the top-frame of the right-hand pane of the browser? These links are currently below the 'now-playing' title and they scroll with the playlist contents which makes it dificult to find at times.
This is a great suggestion, and one that I think has come up a few times. I'll look at sorting out what is required to do this, and make a change to the fishbone skin if I can. 5.4.1 is closed to new features, but this could be considered for 6.0.
Hoping to see this in v6.0...
Lets leave it open so that it IS considered :) I think ExBrowse2 is already doing this kind of thing. I've already done it with the Fishbone skin in the 6.0 builds.
Default2/ExBrowse2/Fishbone have this implemented. Tempted to close this off since there has been little other interest on this one for the Default skin.
Could you do it in default as well? I am a default die-hard for now...
I can certainly make the change, but the UI on Default is Dean's call
I often set up large playlists - I this would be a nice improvement to the default interface...

I also manage fairly large playlists and only use the default theme. Initially when i first started using the slim server software, i struggled for a long to to even discover how to create playlists because this option had scrolled off the screen. eventually i went through some other themes, found the option, reverted back to the default theme, and discovered that i needed to scroll up. that was a wasted half day of futzing. hopefully fixing this in the default theme could save other lusers like myself a bunch of time and frustration.
I'd say it is fixed in the new Default skin. Those links are always at the bottom of the page.
This bug appears to have been fixed in the latest release! If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look. Make sure to include the version number of the software you are seeing the error with.
Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
