Description James Richardson 2008-04-24 15:28:09 UTC
In SqueezeNetwork, I can select any of the Sounds & Effects as valid playlists to trigger.

In SC, I can only select Music Playlists. Please correct this by adding the Sounds & Effects as valid music sources as well.

I am marking this as a BUG, and not an enhancment, because when in SN, if you select a Sound or Effect as the alarm, it is NOT copied over or reflected in SC when the player is moved there.

I.E.
1) IN SC, Players > Settings > Alarm, set Alarm Playlist as Ambulance
2) Move the player to SC 7.0.1
3) Vefiry the alarm is set by going to Settings > Players > Alarm
NOTICE that the Alarm Playlist is now empty.
Notice that at the time the alarm will go off, the selected "ambulance" alarm does not go off, instead, a random Playlist will go off (if you have one) Else nothing will be playing.

not really sure this is possible, let alone for 7.0.1 as this would seem to need an entire rewrite of both the alarm playlist handling and the sound effects access for SC.

It's a future enhancement, maybe we won't do it at all. Fixing target.
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2008-04-28 19:44:14 UTC
Two different issues here:

1. The sound effects should appear as alarm sounds when connected to SC.

2. When an alarm is set on SN or SC, it should go off if you switch to the other.

Let's leave this as bug #1. I'd like to see this fixed in 7.2 as alarms will be more important there.

James: Can you open a separate bug for #2?
