Bugzilla – Bug 7833
Controller hangs after software upgrade
Last modified: 2008-05-15 16:44:32 UTC
after the upgrade to 2224 SBC would constantly reboot after the "free your music" screen.
QA to reproduce
There was 1 RMA unit that came back with this same issue, however doing a Factory Reset fixed the issue. If anyone else see's this issue, please to do a factory reset on the controller, then report if that does not fix the issue.
Even if doing a factory reset fixes the issue, this is still an issue. Any additional info on how to reproduce this would be welcome. Dan, please let us know if support is seeing this, too.
Capturing a log (from SD card) would be the best way to trouble shoot this error. To get a log, place a formated SD card into the slot in the controller. Ensure there is a folder on the SD card with the title of LOG. Once the error has happened, remove the battery from your controller, then remove the SD card. Copy the message(s) files located in the LOG folder, then attach them to this bug report.

The majority of customers will not be upgrading to r2224, right? While we have gotten reports of Controllers getting stuck at the Logitech Logo screen, we don't know specifically if it's directly after a fw update.

However, a FW upgrade may trigger this error.
