Description Urs Wirthmueller 2008-04-11 00:36:43 UTC
Squeeze remote does see the squeezebox while blinking red. If I start setup procedure led goes green then white but squeeze remote display continues to show rotation animation. After a while squeezebox led turns blue.

Could you give some additional information about how your setup looks like.

- Are you connecting Squeezebox Receiver wired or wireless?
- If wireless, what brand Accesspoint are you using?
- Does your network have a DHCP server?
- Does Squeezebox Controller connect ok?

Thanks
Felix

- Are you connecting Squeezebox Receiver wired or wireless?
wireless

- If wireless, what brand Accesspoint are you using?
Zyxel NBG-318S

- Does your network have a DHCP server?
yes

- Does Squeezebox Controller connect ok?
sometimes - I get frequent loss of signal. I can - eventually - connect to the already installed Squeezebox2 (one) and Squeezebox3 (two) receivers.

Ok, Squeezebox Receiver and Squeezebox 2/3 share the same wireless driver so I think it's not a wireless access point issue. Also reading your first comment again you state that the light on SBR goes to white which would mean SBR is connected to SC7. Can you control SBR from SC7 when SBR shows a white light?

When SBR connected to SC7 (white light) it should have gotten a new firmware version (white light blinking for a while). Did that happen?

While SBR is connected to SC7 could you check in the settings/status tab what firmware SBR currently has?

Also what firmware revision is currently installed on your SBC?

And finally, what version of SC7 are you running?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Felix

Urs:

What is the PID and MAC address of your Controller?
The PID and MAC can be found on a sticker in the battery compartment of your controller.

PID: LZ80435
MAC: 00:04:20:1A:10:65

On the rare occasions, when I could see the SBR (I could even give it another namen than 160B3A)on the Squeezecenter it had firmware 23. However, I was never really able to control it from SBC. I always could control SB2/3 from SBC.

SC7 is the latest nightly 18671 (however there is a bug issue with this as well).
