Description Urs Wirthmueller 2008-04-11 00:33:49 UTC
Controller frequently looses WLAN network connection
Comment 1 Urs Wirthmueller 2008-04-11 05:13:59 UTC
now I just re-installed the latest binary (r2187) and after the update was installed the controller goes into an infinite re-boot loop. Only way to stop it is to remove the battery! Putting it back again makes the controller re-booting again and again and.....

What to do now?
Comment 2 Richard Titmuss 2008-04-11 05:15:40 UTC
Can you please provide more information including:
 SqueezeCenter version.
 SqueezeCenter OS.
 Controller firmware version.
Wireless Access Point/Router make, model and version.

Reducing severity from a blocker, as this bug does not "Blocks development and/or testing work"
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2008-04-11 05:16:23 UTC
Press + while inserting the battery, this will do a factory reset. Does this stop the rebooting loop?
Comment 4 Urs Wirthmueller 2008-04-11 09:09:36 UTC
Re-booting as suggested (+ while inserting battery) worked.

Setup in German does not function: controller goes into an endless animation loop!

Setup in English works. Network setup is ok. Setup unfortunately goes only as far as setting up a receiver. It does see my Squeezebox 160B3A (which is in the blinking red LED mode) but setting it up is not successful (try again or skip this step). Skip this step also leads to the setup receiver again!

 SqueezeCenter version.
18671
 SqueezeCenter OS.
Windows XP
 Controller firmware version.
r2187
Wireless Access Point/Router make, model and version.

note (and this applies to all 3 new bugs that have been filed in the same way): Please do not set targets or priorities for new reports. These are intended to be set from a review and/or developer assigned. thanks.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2008-04-14 09:18:50 UTC
Just to be clear, the network connection problem is now cleared up and the remaining bug here is about setup in German, is that correct?
Comment 7 Ben Klaas 2008-06-06 13:05:57 UTC
Richard and I think these issues have been addressed. Could you reopen if this is still an issue?
Comment 8 Ross Levine 2008-07-10 14:46:24 UTC
Worked for me in German with Zyxel Prestige 2302R.
