Bugzilla – Bug 7790
Powering off Receiver with track playing causes track to restart
Last modified: 2008-04-13 10:16:44 UTC
I'm running 7.0.1, Debian, Duet with fw current to build 18576. Attempting to power off the Receiver (from the Controller) while a track is playing causes the Rcvr to restart the track from the beginning & power off it's front LED. Recreate this by powering on the Rcvr, choosing a track to play (I was in Random Tracks, CD ripped music (FLAC)). When it's playing, choose 'Power Off [Receiver]' from Controller. You should hear the track restart. Pausing the track prior to power off results in correct behavior.
I'm not able to reproduce this one. While playing a track (I also used random song mode) I powered off the Receiver. Jive displayed a showBriefly saying "Paused", the LED on Receiver went dark. Turning it back on, the track remained paused and I could unpause it and continue listening. Tested with 7.0.1 r18680 and Jive 7.0.1 r2187. Assigning to QA to reproduce.
I too am unable to reproduce this with 18680 & r2187. I tried with mp3 and flac files, and with random mix, works fine here. Ford does this happen consistently for you? Can you offer any other pointers that might help us reproduce this behavior? What sort of files are you playing and is there transcoding going on?
I won't be able to look at this agin until mid next week, so I'll report back then.
OK, was able to hook everything up today (I'm using the rcvr as a whole house audio zone player) and try it out. I've update to b18702 and could not replicate the problem. I swear to Jeebus it was doing it last week; looks like it magically fixed itself
