Bugzilla – Bug 7784
Artwork Thumbnails missing from controller
Last modified: 2008-04-11 10:39:08 UTC
After upgrading to 7.0.1, some album artwork covers do not show up on the controller. No changes to library or artwork were made prior to firmware upgrade. These covers are also missing in squeeze-center, but view when browsing by album and selecting the album thumbnail to view track list, etc. When playing track, the thumbnail will display in the "now Playing' mode on the controller.
OS is mac 10.4
Pete: Have you done a Library rescan yet?
Yes, did library rescan twice. Once for new/changed music, the second time a full clear and re-scan. No change. Even tried to re-install the firmware upgrade. Its only happening for a few of the covers.
This sounds like a dupe of bug 7666. Have you tried the latest nightly? Should have been fixed in jive 7.0.1 r2174.
Haven't had a chance to try the nightly yet. Will do this evening and report back. Haven't been able to figure out where I can determine the "r" version you mentioned.
(In reply to comment #5) > Haven't been able to figure out where I can determine the "r" version > you mentioned. That's the firmware version on the Controller. You can check it by going Home-> Settings-> Advanced-> About on the Controller.
Thanks Steve. Figured that out after I installed latest nightly. This is the first time the controller has displayed the version. Current at r2182. Missing artwork has re-appeared! Although new glitch seems to have occurred: there is a portion of one album (6 songs), no artwork. This albums artwork previously did not display. I deleted the original album, cleared and rescanned entire library. Album remains, no artwork, 6 songs. And the album has been deleted from the library. Shows up in both the controller and SC, but not in library (iTunes). Even tried searching by title, no results, but still in SC and on controller. ????? new bug?
Firmware update to 2187 resolved the artwork issue. Other glitch also resolved as some songs were left on NAS when album was deleted, but these songs were not copied in library. Removing from NAS solved problem.
