There is no way to move or sort songs in the controller playlist, would like to request an change request to add this functionality. Others have mentioned possibly using the center button by holding in down until a new popup menu appeared to allow moves / sorting/ deleting of songs.

The other way I think it could be done is that when you are in the playlist screen you can simply press the + button to select the song you want to move and then move it by rotating the wheel.  After you have found a place you want to put it then press the + again and it will stay there.
