When playing an album, the front knob should let the user scroll through the playlist. Currently the front knob doesn't do anything.

Using firmware version 2.

Are you using the latest SC7 boom version too? You need rev18286 of boom SC7 or newer.

Download latest SC 7.2 18383 Apr 4 2008 version and verified it works.
