Description Philip Meyer 2008-04-02 13:27:29 UTC
I played a Live Music Archive album "Head For The Hills (2008-11-09)".

There is are tracks that have ">" characters in the display name.

Eg. "3. Darling Corey>Fire on the Mountain (Monroe)*"

When it is playing, the current playlist display name changes to:

3. Darling Corey>Fire on the Mountain (Monroe)*
Darling Corey>Fire on the Mountain (Monroe)* by Head For The Hills from 2008-11-09 - Aggie Theater

Only tracks with ">" characters display the second line of text.

I think this behavior is specific to Live Music Archive.

Andy, would this be one for you?

Not a bug. Remote MP3 files get their title changed if they include ID3v2 tags, which most/all LMA tracks do. So track 3 contains the following ID3 tag:

{
  ALBUM      => "2008-11-09 - Aggie Theater",
  ARTIST => "Head For The Hills",
  TAGVERSION => "ID3v2.3.0",
  TITLE => "Darling Corey>Fire on the Mountain (Monroe)*",
  TRACKNUM   => 3,
}

which results in a title of "Darling Corey>Fire on the Mountain (Monroe)* by Head For The Hills from 2008-11-09 - Aggie Theater"
