I'm able to add arbitrary UTF-8 characters to my playlist titles and they show up in the web UI correctly, will attach example with greek letter phi. Are the umlauts in the attached example in some other encoding?

UTF-8 Phi in a favorite

Hmm... can't reproduce it any more myself :-/.

BUT when editing the fav name, the name is cut of at where the umlaut/character should be. Only _adding_ favorites with non-latin characters does work, editing not (Opera, FF2, Safari on OSX)

Phi added to middle of name, then edited

Editing with the utf-8 in the middle works for me (FF3beta4 on Leopard).

change 3099 - editing favorites would break non-latin characters, while adding wouldn't. Let prototypejs do the form handling coding of the edit - it does a better job than we do.

Verified fixed in ABBA, editing Favorites to add UTF-8 characters does not break display
