Implement a new image format: cover_56x56_o.jpg that maintains the aspect ratio of the source image and resizes to make the largest dimension 56.  Jive will display non-square images properly.

"O" resize mode is change 18102.  I'll attach a Jive patch but images with height > width don't render properly.

jive has been changed in r2152. i don't see a rendering problem, can you post an example andy?

r2154 fixes the height > width problem (but not yet for now playing).

This also caches the compressed artwork, not the pixel surfaces. Now to see how it performs on the hardware.

This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
