Of course, a different change would be to forget what I said above and put all of the screen saver stuff under Settings->Screensavers, where you could do: 1) Choose screensaver, 2) set option 1, 3) set option 2, 4) set option 3.

isn't this a general squeezecenter thing, rather than being specific to boom? We used to have this actually.  Plugins were all able to register under groups, like radio, screensavers, games etc.

Screensaver settings should appear in settings.  
Extras is for specific features that don't belong anywhere else.

And yes, this not boom specific.
