Description Anoop Mehta 2008-03-24 16:16:42 UTC
Customer on the forums noticed that when using the Controller to control the SB3, there is no way to control the brightness of your player.
Comment 1 Sellars Vansens 2008-03-24 16:23:04 UTC
Same goes for SB2.
Comment 2 Ben Klaas 2008-03-25 07:27:49 UTC
I'll take this...targeting for 7.1

Jive Infrared Test Screen Shot

In the meantime one could always use the Infrared Factory Test. The test emulates a Squeezebox remote control. You can find it on the Controller by going to Settings > Advanced > Factory Test > Infrared.

fixed, 7.1 trunk change 20813
Comment 5 James Richardson 2008-07-16 11:12:50 UTC
Verified fixed in:
SqueezeCenter 7.1-21796
Controller 7.1 r2699
SB2/3 r101

There is now a menu structure as such:

SBC > Settings > Advanced > Player Brightness
Clicking this will cycle through the settings (would be better to go right and SELECT the level)
Comment 6 James Richardson 2008-07-16 11:14:24 UTC
This is BROKEN, if you select 0 (display off) there is NO way to select a Higher value. It will only go down, we need to fix this so it will cycle up as well, or change it to a right menu that you can pick a value from.

It appears to have been a 1 time thing for me, I was unable to reproduce the "stuck at 0" issue. if anyone sees that issue please reopen the bug.
