The /var/log/squeezecenter/server.log file is getting increasingly larger, fast..

Can you post the log (or fragments of it)?  Are there certain errors repeating over and over?  The deb package should rotate the log files weekly.  Is that working?

Those messages are all from SqueezeScrobbler which is a 3rd party plugin.  Have you changed it's logging settings from the default?  If not, I suggest you contact the plugin author for more information.

Removed third party plugin "lastfm/squeezescrobbler" server.log now no longer growing.
