Description Jamie 2004-12-31 11:23:12 UTC
The close-apostrophe () character will crash slimserver when it is found in an
RSS feed, as in today's Rollingstone.com music news:

Post-punks classic lineup reunites for spring shows

I have tried to capture relevant debug info below. This appears to be a UDF
character which I suppose should be ignored. I don't know whether this should be
corrected in the RSS plugin or in a core module.

Debug info:

Wide character in print at /usr/local/slimserver/Slim/Utils/Misc.pm line 696.

Dave, can you take a look at this?
Comment 2 Blackketter Dean 2005-03-11 13:12:31 UTC
Dave: has this been addressed?
Comment 3 Dave Cohen 2005-03-11 14:05:34 UTC
I'm unable to reproduce the problem in the 6.0 server. Here's a feed I'm
testing with, it has both forward and backward apostrophes.

PS - sorry for the delayed response

Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
