Description Julius Dauz 2008-03-18 16:15:26 UTC
When you select to transcode a file type, for example flac to mp3, without having the decoder (lame) in the correct directory, SqueezeCenter indicates that the settings have been saved. When you look at the setting you just tried to implement, it defaults back to "disabled".

There should be an error message.

Julius - do you still see this issue with the latest nightly? There was bug 7424 which could have caused this issue. That bug has been fixed.
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2008-04-02 02:04:57 UTC
change 18285 - this is not only about Lame, but about any helper binary. This change will disable the drop down boxes for any transcoding which requires installation of an additional binary.

Support should keep in mind that if an option is greyed out, then the necessary binary is missing.
