Can we have an option to decode all formats to PCM and then be able to send it
out to external DSP plug-ins (such as DirectX or VST or Winamp)?  We would then
be able to take advantage of all the other audio DSP features that have already
been written.

Just tested it using the 2005-01-13 nightly, and it now works!

Thanks for that - I guess this bug can be closed now....

Marking items that aren't going to be addressed immediately in 6.1 as future.  Please update if this is in 
error or the bug has already been addressed.
