Description Sean Wolfe 2008-03-12 12:16:52 UTC
When I play music from my squeezebox via SqueezeNetwork it doesn't properly scrobble the played song in Lsat.FM. My player has its account set up and enabled. When I'm playing a track, I can go to Last.FM look at my account and it will say that I am "now listening" to the track that is playing in the SqueezeNetwork. But when the song finishes, that sound doesn't appear in the play history on my Last.FM account.

This works fine on SC7 and the built in Last.FM scrobbler.

What type of track are you playing? MP3tunes, Pandora, etc?
Comment 2 Sean Wolfe 2008-03-12 13:43:12 UTC
Pandora, Slacker, and Rhapsody all seem to have problems. I might have tried MP3Tunes as well but I can't recall. I will try it again a little later. But I can confirm that those3 do not scrobble the tracks.

It's most likely due to the differences in the way these tracks are scrobbled. Pandora and Slacker use type "P" which means it wasn't a user-selected track but a recommended track. Those aren't shown in your normal listening history. Rhapsody tracks that aren't from a Rhapsody channel, as well as MP3tunes tracks should be scrobbled normally as user-selected tracks though.

I see. Can there be a way for a user to configure what types of songs get scrobbled and what don't?

No, it's really an issue with the Last.fm website, they should improve the way they display scrobbled tracks.
