Description Andrew Brawley 2004-12-19 23:47:45 UTC
after upgrading to ver 5.4.1. when i start the server the cpu usage for
slim.exe goes to 99% and stays there until the PC reports virtual meory to be
low and i have to reboot the thing. the ver.5.4.1 install went fine and the
player had a firmware update (agin that went fine). all my music is MP3 the pc
has about 1.5G ram running XP pro. prior to the upgrade everything was working
great. oops! i have tried uninstalling and going back a version but the
interface doesn't seem to work i.e. it wont see my music folder.

Andrew, I haven't seen this issue. Can you give some details about your setup? (library size, location,
OS version, etc?) One problem that we know can cause the behavior you are seeing is a windows
shortcut in your library pointing to another place in your library. Could that be the issue?

Dan thinks this is fixed in the 6.0 beta. Please verify and reopen if it's still an issue.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
