Description Chris LaPlante 2008-03-07 10:33:47 UTC
I am running squeezeslave 0.7.5 and SqueezeCenter 7.0 release. Squeezeslave correctly connects and plays normally when left alone. If I hit skip forward/back or play a random track in the playlist from the web interface, it stops playing and either does not play the requested song at all, or plays only a couple of seconds into the new song and stops. In rare cases it also seems to skip over the next song, and play the first few seconds of the next song down. (Say if I skip from 1, it starts playing 3 sometimes)

I get the error "decoding error" on the squeezeslave console side. Pressing pause/play a couple of times gets it to play normally. This is on a local LAN, playing MP3s.

I can compile with debugging enabled to provide more info if requested.

I've seen this too occasionally. My guess is that it is not resetting the decoder properly when skipping. Possibly a timing race.

I'm seeing the same problem on squeezeslave 0.7.5 + squeezecenter 7.1 on OS X. It happens on FLAC files for me, but I haven't tested on MP3 files.
