Description Mitch Harding 2008-03-07 08:49:03 UTC
From the main SBC menu I select Music Library, then Artists, and then I select any artist with multiple albums. I don't see any option that allows me to browse all of their songs on one screen -- it seems I have to drill down into each album, and then if it doesn't have the song I want, I have to back up and check the next album. This is in contrast to the web interface (at least with the default skin). In the web interface, if you select Music Library, then Artists, then an artist with multiple albums, the first option is "All Songs", which allows you to browse all of their songs.

In the SBC there is the "Play All Songs" option, but I want to just have one view with all of their songs, from which I can pick the one (or ones) I want.

Ideally, you would change the name of "Play All Songs" to just "All Songs". If you hit the Play button while "All Songs" was selected, it would play all songs by that artist. If instead you hit the enter button while "All Songs" was selected, it would drill down and show you all songs by that artist (like the web interface does).

I use this feature a lot on the web interface to construct playlists, and would like to be able to do the same on the SBC.

Please let me know if you need me to clarify what I am requesting!

wiping priority field in 7.1 target bugs, as the priorities that were set as 7.0 target bugs are not relevant here.

fixed in SC 7.1 change 20453. I'll attach a couple screenshots to the bug here as an FYI.

menu item for "all songs" in an artist->album listing

note: appears at the bottom of the list just above add/delete-to-favorites item. The "Play All" item remains at the top of the list.

Hitting the center button on the controller will spawn a new window with the track listings, sorted by title.

Installed Squeezecenter 7.1 - 20454, and while is does allow viewing all titles per artist, the entry in my controller UI is called "JIVE_ALL_SONGS", not "All songs"

My controller runs on 7.1r2507 (from May 22, not sure why this isn't updated as well, might be cause of issue?)
