Bugzilla – Bug 7373
Browsing Music Folder on SBR sees whole file structure if Music Folder setting is blank
Last modified: 2008-05-15 12:28:41 UTC
I have SC7 set up with MusicIP integration, leaving the Music Folder setting blank (this dates back a while to when I was getting a few duplicate entries when setting both). With no Music Library set, the WebUI and the old remote do not provide an option to Browse Music Folder, which makes sense. However, I just noticed that this option was present on the SBR and it starts from the root directory (I am running SC7 on an Ubuntu distribution) and can browse the entire file hierarchy (other than directories set with no read-access). This does not seem to be ideal.
surely you mean the Controller, rather than receiver?
There should probably be a warning message: "Please visit SqueezeCenter settings and set a music folder."
Yes, sorry, I do mean SBR not SBC. Rather than a warning message, I'd prefer the WebUI behaviour: the Music Folders options is simply not present.
removing priorities from all 7.0.1 target bugs for re-prioritizing
I prefer smc's suggestion in Comment #3, and will be pursuing that option today. Speak now if you feel differently about the nature of the fix...
fixed in SC 7.0/trunk r18072 after this fix, Browse Music Folder will only appear on SBC when a valid directory is configured for the SC Music Library.
Verified fixed in 7.0.1 - 19325
This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1 Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug. To download this version, please navigate to: http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html
