Description Ross Levine 2008-02-28 16:46:10 UTC
Umlauts work great in the tags and file name for me, however in the directory structure I see something strange. Not sure if this is related to bug 5686. If I put a flac file into a directory named üüüüü and scan, the file shows up and plays, but when I click the file and check to see its location the directory named üüüüü is omitted. In other words the file is in:

C:\Documents and Settings\qaxpprovm\Desktop\scanner testing files\üüüüü\02üüü.flac

But SC7's location says this:

C:\Documents and Settings\qaxpprovm\Desktop\scanner testing files\

No problem here:

Location: M:\Bap\für usszegschnigge\07 - Müsli Män.mp3 (Download)

Can you please provide a screenshot? Any messages in the log?

is this a duplicate of bug 7073?
Comment 3 Ross Levine 2008-02-29 12:08:31 UTC
Definitely a duplicate. I added some non-umluat characters to my directory and exactly like 7073 the path exists up until the first umlaut. Thanks Michael.
