Description Wallace Lai 2008-02-27 08:43:04 UTC
Jive FW: 7.0 r2019
System Info: Win 2K, SP4, ENU, Gateway, P4, 2.0 GHz, 1.25 GB of RAM
SqueenCenter: 2008-02-22 Nightly

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start SC.
2. On the Jive go to music folder and play a song.
3. After enjoying the song for about 30 seconds or so, press the rewind button. The song goes back a bit and start playing again.
4. After a few seconds, press and HOLD the rewind button for about 4 seconds.
5. Notice the streamming suddenly started jumping around within the song. It was like suddenly it was at the beginning, then in the middle, then close to the end, then back to the middle.

The log files are from an SD card taken from another Jive. So the log may contain other info that may not concern this bug. Please look at log files with the time in mine.

holding rewind initiates the crappy scanning mode, presumably double rate in reverse. It doesn't handle song boundaries well.

Alan to fix "crappy scanning mode" to make it better in future release. Alan, feel free to dup this out....

Works as designed, sort of. This is really a duplicate of bug 7068. See this thread (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41235) for a discussion on proposed redesign. Obviously certain UI differences would be required for the SBC (Jive), as SqueezePlay currently has no UI feedback for this functionality.

This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
