Description James Richardson 2008-02-26 14:46:12 UTC
When looking at Home > Staff Picks >
I notice that when I hover the mouse over any of the sub menu items:

	Best of the Internet Radio
	Most Popular
	By Genre
	By City
	By Webcaster

That I am presented with the "Add to Favorites" heart. Clicking on this will indeed add that entire (could be 1000's of listings) sub menu to the Favorites listings.

While this is not an error, it may be confusing to the User, and potentially add too many listings to the users Favorites Menu.

While I tend to agree that we don't need add to favorites at *every* level, any click to add a favorite only actually adds 1 item. It will add the "Most Popular" menu for example, and you can then drill down into that from favorites. It doesn't add all items under Most Popular, if that's what you were thinking.

Should discuss when we need add to favorites.

Andy notes that we can add a list of artists to favorites. Let's consider favorites adding in general.

I would definately like to keep this feature as it was one of the main reasons for the merge of mypicks and favorites - the ability to add references to remote menus to your favorites. This allows you to bookmark the staff picks menu for UK radio stations for instance. It only stores a reference to the menu so that whenever staff picks it updated the contents of the menu tracks the staff picks menu.

Its also used for alien and other remote radio station plugins to allow bookmarking of menu levels in a radio station hierachy.

Seems the consensus is that it should stay as it is.
