Modify Slimserver to allow for a certain number of seconds to fade at the 
beginning and at the end of a song during playback, so that the user can opt to 
play one song after another with songs fading in and out with each other.  The 
modification should allow the user to opt for a certain duration (seconds) of 
fading into the beginning and out of the end of a song

the new hardware of SB2, allows for the overlapping of songs, with configurable
transitions and durations
