Bugzilla – Bug 7269
Digitial Input Switching
Last modified: 2008-12-15 12:33:15 UTC
I have a transporter with firmware v40. Switching between network music and SPDIF Coaxial works the first time. If I switch back to network music or reselect SPDIF Coaxial or another input, clicking and noise is heard from my speakers. Attempting to the change the volume when connected to the digital input also reproduces this problem. Strangely, sometimes hitting the rewind (back) button fixes this when in digital input mode. Otherwise I must turn off transporter, but not always reliable to fix the issue. As far as I'm concerned, Switching between inputs and network music should just work without all these strange bugs. I should be able to do this as many times as I want, and it shouldn't "break" the Transporter. I switched to v40 firmware because I thought it corrected alot of the digital switching issues. I hope you can fix this once and for all because the Transporter does sound great! Marco.
Sean: is this fixed in your recent changes?
This sounds like a different, new issue. I would not target 40 for 7.0.1 at this point.
This is fixed in V.42 firmware, which will be in the next nightly build.
Marco: Can you please retest this issue with 7.1-21630 You can reopen the bug and add more details if you are still seeing the issue.
