The ability to control which brightness levels (0 - 4) are available for each player state (On, Off and Idle) would be useful.

At present, one can choose a brightness level for each state, but this can be changed from the player UI.

For example. I'd like to see a configuration setting so that I can set 1 - 2 available for Off, 2 - 3 available for Idle and 3 - 4 for On. At present, there's nothing to stop a user setting On to 0, thereby causing confusing for other users.

The web UI to configure these would be of the same type as for the player font.

This could perhaps be done as a plugin, but a similar thing is there for font already so a server setting might not be a step to too far?

Thanks.

Moving this out post-7.0. Not sure that the benefit here would outweigh the possible confusion. Leaving open for additional comment, etc.

One thing I didn't think of before. As a work-around, if one wanted to fix the brightness for each state to a single level, the brightness button could be disabled via the IR mapping (after being configured).
