Description Robin Bowes 2008-02-19 03:47:49 UTC
I have a Behringer DEQ2496 inserted into the AES/EBU in/out using the new loop functionality in fw40. I have "Digital output is fixed" set to send as much signal as possible to the Behringer.

However, in this configuration the analogue volume control is no longer effective.

Would it be possible to still control the level of the analogue outputs whilst sending a full-level signal to the digital outputs?

A further thought: this behaviour will prevent anyone using the Transporter directly into a power amp as the output level is effectively fixed at maximum when the loop is enabled and digital output Level is fixed.

This behaviour is quite surprising as it seems to be the default after firmware upgrade. Run into it last night.

Deferring to next release.
Comment 4 Chris Owens 2009-10-09 11:27:06 UTC
Maybe you could also try reproducing this, Ross?
Comment 5 James Richardson 2009-10-23 09:18:29 UTC
Robin: are you still seeing this on the latest version of firmware (r80)?

Yes.

All new Squeezebox products are likely to be based on the SqueezePlay platform.
We do not plan to implement any further enhancements to the ip3k firmware or
which are targeted specifically at ip3k-based products.
