Description Geoff Soord 2004-12-06 14:10:03 UTC
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message
DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use
the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for
details. The following information is part of the event: Wide character in
send at /PerlApp/Slim/Player/SLIMP3.pm line 176.
.

This did not happen with the version 5.3.1 - it may be linked to RSS feeds?
I have not tried 5.4.1 - but can try it if you want.

This issue happens fairly frequently. I have quite a few of identical events
in the event log which is why I am reporting the problem.

dan, can you take a look at this?
Comment 3 Dan Sully 2005-01-23 12:50:17 UTC
Geoff - can you try one of the recent nightly builds (either 5.4 or 6.0) to see
if the problem has been fixed?

It is related to the RSS feed. I assume you're showing it in the "big font" mode?

Thanks.
Comment 4 Geoff Soord 2005-01-25 23:58:28 UTC
I can confirm that this is fixed in the SlimServer_5_4_x_v2005-01-24 (5.4.1)
nightly build. I have had this version running for more than 24 hours without
any problems.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2008-12-18 11:50:20 UTC
Routine bug db maintenance; removing old versions which cause confusion. I apologize for the inconvenience.
