On his Jive controller, french language accent marks are not appearin gproperly.

we need more information about versions, operating system on the server etc. I don't see these.

Remco/Mike: Do these screens appear correctly in the web and and SB3 interfaces?

The screens appear correctly on squeezebox3 and the web, but not on jive (v 7.01 r1919. 02.13.08).

ok. The accents appear ok if I put squeezecenter in french(there are still "\"before "'" somtimes though), but if I use beta.squeezecenter.com as music source they don't even if I choose french on the site (half the menus are still in english on there..)

According to Remco, on SB3, everything appears ok. He also reports that he openend a bug on this as well. #7115

umlaut char renders correctly when track is played via SC

I can confirm Ben's report about being broken on SN only. The same seems to be true for MP3Tunes.

Really weird one, sending raw JSON from slimservice -> jived broke the encoding.  Fixed by wrapping in base64 in r17546 and r2497.

This bug has recently been fixed in the latest release of SqueezeCenter 7.0.1

Please try that version, if you still see the error, then reopen this bug.
