Description James Richardson 2008-02-12 15:39:09 UTC
When looking at the Settings Page, with a window less then 1024x768, there are many "tabs" missing. The window does not populate Scroll Bars allowing me to see the missing tabs. I.E. the window does not resize well OR block the user from resizing the window to a "minimum" size.

The same thing happens if the user resizes the main SC page (home). The player Controls are missing or messed up.

If we don't want scroll bars to appear, then the window should auto-lock to a set minimum size.

See screen shots

This happens in I.E. 6.x / 7.x as well as FireFox 2.x

We've had this comment before. The consensus was that you'll need a reasonable screen to use the Default skin. There are alternative skins for lower resolutions. I think this is not a bug, it's a requirement.

BTW: the skin is looking (surprisingly!) good on the Asus eeePC's 800x480 screen.

The missing tabs might be fixed once I've migrated to ExtJS 2.0 (planned for 7.1), where we'll be able to scroll through a list of tabs (see bug 6950)

Please don't upload BMP files - they're uncompressed, thus way too big to be dowloaded over Mtn. View's slow connection ;-). Use PNG or JPEG instead. Thanks!

Punting to 7.1. The design criteria was a minimum 800x600 screen...

settings at 800x600 - ok

...but it's admittedly an issue with chatty languages like German...

resizable main panel

I've started testing ExtJS2 - the main screen will be resizable, allowing to adjust left/right panel width
Comment 8 Michael Herger 2008-02-12 23:06:58 UTC
mainly tabs in the settings window need scrolling

I'm reducing severity as the 800x600 are ok
Comment 9 Michael Herger 2008-04-17 08:26:49 UTC
change 18848 - tab list can now be scrolled if it doesn't fit on the screen

ABBA reacts much better to the new layout with various web browsers.
