Bugzilla – Bug 7103
Option to disable artwork pre-caching at scan time
Last modified: 2009-07-31 10:17:04 UTC
The Artwork scanning phase is slower in SC 7.0, due to pre-caching the artwork scaled at various sizes (mainly to make SBC's artwork browsing faster). This seems unnecessary for users without SBC's, and thus it has been suggested that I raise an enhancement request to ask for an option to disable artwork pre-caching at scan time (artwork will be cached on demand instead).
See also bug 7104, which is the real reason this is even an issue.
I don't think we need this for 7.0.
