Add a weather screensaver using NOAA's new XML weather data service?

It's a good idea. In the mean time, I use the RSS reader and a custom feed from:

http://www.rssweather.com/

note: NOAA is US only.

I suggested NOAA only because I was aware of no alternative due to the fact that:

>> Weather.com has disabled their free service, with new licenses that stricly
>> prohibit non-web use. Hopefully a new service can be found and the plugin
>> resurrected one day.

Is this custom feed you refer to something available on Slim Devices website, or
any other website, or something you just wrote/use yourself?

the rss reader is included with the latest server release. you can add any url
you want, so if you go to rssweather.com and locate your city, you can paste
that url into the server settings, plugins, under rss news ticker. Then the
weather will be part of your screensaver if you choose rss news as your screensaver.

Works fine, I'm happy.
