Description mike dilley 2008-02-08 10:58:40 UTC
My Squeezebox defaulted to "Play only selected song". When playing a track from an album of 10 songs, I could not skip to the next song using the Jive controller. The settings for the player I am using were defaulted to only play the the selected song.

The default behavior should be to play all songs from an album.
Comment 1 Michael Herger 2008-02-08 13:50:50 UTC
This setting is for the player interface only, not for Jive or web UI.

This is a common misunderstanding. We should make this clearer in 7.0.1

To clarify what Mike is saying: he doesn't find the behavior confusing.

He finds that the default for 'Play Other Songs In Album' is 'Play only selected song' when it should be 'Play other songs in album or directory'.

On an SB3 if you browse to a song on an album, and hit play, and then hit FWD or REW, the UI does something based on the user's wish.

On Jive and Ray if you browse to a song on an album and hit play, and then hit FWD or REW, nothing useful happens no matter what the user wants.

I think I see that you are saying 'we want to implement it differently on Jive' and that's fine, but we shouldn't go down in features on Jive.
