Description Richard Perkin 2008-02-07 14:09:32 UTC
SS 6.5.4 is running on a QNAP TS-209 Pro wirelessly streaming to SB3

When playing a random mix of FLAC data, observed (now twice - but I'm a new user) the following:
- 'Now playing' info set to Small Spectrum + Elapsed Time
- initially the dispaly is OK, but after several hours (8? more? anyway, a long time) the display changes to Spectrum Analyzer + Elapsed Time
- checked in the SlimServer settings, and yes it has indeed been changed there
- re-entering the config in SS cures it... until the next time?

[apologies if this has been reported before, but I couldn't spot this specific issue]

Please test with SC7.

I'm running SS 6.5.4 on a QNAP NAS. Waiting now for an SC7 distro for the QNAP TS-x09 series - but this depends on when QNAP's UK distributor (Progressive Consumer Electronics Ltd) gets round to it, presumably some time after the formal release of SC7. I'll test it then.

Installed SC 7.0.1 a couple of days ago. Problem still present. However, it took that couple of days to show itself...

No real clue as to the exact sequence of events which caused it. I can only describe what I recently did before noticing that the display had changed. I can *not* however state that this will be reproducible.

1. Random song mix playing, with display showing elapsed time + small spectrum
2. Deleted current playlist via web interface (I just happened to have it running)
3. Using SB3 remote, started to play a directory of tracks by browsing the Music Folder
4. Noted that the display was now showing the full-length spectrum analyzer. Not sure if this happened immediately; I didn't notice it for a couple of minutes

Kind regards
