Description Dan Evans 2008-02-07 09:47:12 UTC
This is actually with a PQP-4.

To see this:
1. Power down the controller with the power button, either a soft off or a hard off
2. Pop the battery out
3. Put the battery back in (with a live/full battery)

The Controller does not power back on again.

Hope you are spending your dollar well, Dan. :)

I confirmed with Caleb that this is a hardware issue associated with the power manager taking a long time to really believe that it's out of juice. We'll reinvestigate when we update the hardware design.

Moving from the old 'jive hardware' product to the new 'Squeezebox Controller' product.
Comment 3 Caleb Crome 2008-05-28 09:34:23 UTC
This is a behavior of the hardware that we cannot fix with software. (It can be fixed in a future hardware revision).

Fine by me. I already won my dollar!
