Description Blackketter Dean 2003-12-19 21:48:04 UTC
Song files referenced by CUE files shouldn't have metadata in the database. Or, at least, there
should be an option to supress these long files from the database for browsing.

dan, are you doing anything special in the db with files that are linked by CUE
files?
Comment 2 Dan Sully 2005-01-23 15:56:16 UTC
I don't understand the bug here - can a better explaination be added?

Thanks.

I think what we are trying to get here is that the CUE file provides the
metadata, NOT the track. for instance, if you have a FLAC file that contains a
full album, and the server finds a CUE file that references this file then the
CUE should provide the metadata and the db ends up with file entries based on
the cue, and ignored the original FLAC file. currently, we'll see duplicate
entries. one for the full file, and one for each track inside the file.

A fix for this was added in subversion change 2265.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
