I believe the mouse over follows the "showYear" and "showArtist" prefs, so they should be there if you have those prefs set.

Oops didn't realize that, but nonetheless it's kind of redundant. Some of my VA albums have 13 lines, which is just cut off with "..." in the alt text anyway. Therefore my new request is that it be user selectable (sorry).

this would be the mouseover for cover art in the browse album view.

personally, I don't think it's reasonable to have independently configurable "titleformats" for every occurrence of the album/artist/year info.  Of course, there are many reasonable ways to want it to appear and all are valid.  Supporting a full set just gets unmanageable: mouse over in browse, the title text along side, now playing web, now playing on display, on controller for now playing, controller browsing...then you get a desire for different info based on already knowing album/artist/year on sub-levels or even different versions when looking at "new music" instead of browse albums.

In order to serve ease of use, merging the core interface, etc, someone has to start making design decisions on the limit of the options, unless you want to make the titleFormat matching option available everywhere. Bear in mind, a certain percentage of users have already expressed confusion with just the two current options (player and web song title format)

As Kevin mentioned in comment #1 this already can be configured using Settings/Formatting/Show Artist option.

My only problem with the show artist setting is that it breaks the layout of album view, due to the number of artists on various artists albums, but I agree that a setting for rollover info is taking it too far. 

My revised request would be that rollover info always show Album by Artist(s), even if the interface is set to show only Album, because it wouldn't break the layout and long rollover info is abbreviated with ... anyway. Also, Album by Artist seems like a better alternative description of an image than just Album.

If you set SC to show Album and Artist, then view albums in the web interface, but pretend that it's only showing Album titles, then rollover an image and it will seem like you get *extra* info on rollover, which is basically what I'm requesting.
