Description Ben Klaas 2008-02-05 06:35:29 UTC
I think we could stand to change the title of the current playlist window from 'Now Playing' to 'Current Playlist'. There is often confusion about the difference between this "Now Playing" and the NowPlayingApplet "Now Playing" windows.

assigning to Dean for comment.

I checked through our various UIs--

new Default skin doesn't title the current playlist at all
Classic skin calls it "The Current Playlist" (EN string), as does Nokia770/Touch (well duh, guess who made that choice)

PlayerUI has a 'Now Playing' item that you can descend into, and it always starts with the track currently playing. You can scroll through other tracks, but note that the top line of the UI display changes to "Playlist" when a not-currently-playing track is selected.

I think there's decent precedent for changing this, and I certainly don't see any UI inconsistency in doing so (if anything, it's more in line with what we do elsewhere).

Your call Dean.

Let's use "Playlist"

Is this going to be a challenge for localization?

I'm confused, why would it be a challenge? We already have a string for PLAYLIST on SC that could be poached for this.
