Description Andy Grundman 2008-02-03 11:25:15 UTC
This is important for better Jive support.
Comment 1 Blackketter Dean 2008-02-03 11:29:31 UTC
This is the right thing, but I suspect that we get a request for per-player setting to be added in. Would it be possible to keep the per-player setting there and use the user setting to populate that and allow for override?

Comment 2 Andy Grundman 2008-02-03 11:43:49 UTC
Sure, that will work fine.
Comment 3 Matthew J. Martin 2008-02-05 09:31:03 UTC
this will not be added to the wizard per marketing - timezone should default to GeoIP detected timezone. will add global account timezone pref to user account settings later
Comment 4 Andy Grundman 2008-02-05 09:32:58 UTC
Argh, this needs to happen for 7.0. It's not possible to detect timezone from IP address.
Comment 5 Matthew J. Martin 2008-02-05 10:29:14 UTC
will use javascript based client time detection ASAP
Comment 6 Matthew J. Martin 2008-02-07 10:23:53 UTC
one of these will be stored in the DB per user: http://www.maxmind.com/timezone.txt
Comment 7 Matthew J. Martin 2008-02-14 12:06:43 UTC
